Leaders in Data Quality management

Experian are known for their Credit Score services and information. It’s not widely known however that Experian are leaders in data quality services, from management to verification. With their tools and platforms, your business can unlock true data potential. With this in mind, the challenge I faced was to best position its EDQ service, with content that’s designed to break through and capture attention.

These short animated films were a response to a challenging brief, with minimal budget for content creation. The right answer was a new system for creating content like this for Experian, based less on brand guideline motion graphics and explainer films, and more on high quality, premium stock animation and motion, cut against a compelling script – matched with Hot Chip style audio that would get toes tapping in a sea of content that’s considered dry or corporate.

Designed to capture attention, and swiftly explain Experian EDQ services and benefits for audiences online, through social and live at events – with music or without. The project also included presentation templates and launch material for experts and sales teams to really get behind the new approach to Experian Data Quality services.

These films were moved through production at speed, with the client adopting the approach immediately – and capturing quick sign off from brand teams and C level decision makers who went on to say “all of our films should be like this!”.

This simple approach and sound design was a risky gamble, which landed straight away. With content like this, it’s my role to push the client and the brand team into new territory. Due to the success of this work, we were immediately briefed to create a hero animation for the Ascend platform, below. This new Ascend film is the first in a new creative direction I developed directly with the brand team at Experian, to bring them into a space that felt fun and interesting with motion design, using the brand ‘squircle’ in a new way, as a tile that can be used to explore everything and anything technical, to explain visually without the need for complex graphics – just simple shapes and motion to depict themes that would be otherwise difficult to visualise.
